Personal
-Eyes: So dark brown, they can appear completely black
-Relative Age: Fits right in somewhere with Highsun and Brighteyes.
-Life Path: Future symbol-maker
-Skills: Aside from already being an accomplished symbol-maker, Sleepflower is also the most powerful elf (magic-wise) Peacock Mountain has ever seen. She is highly empathic, and has frequent flashes of the Farsight. She also has the ability to "travel" as she calls it, without her body.
-Personality: Never the loudest of cubs, Sleepflower was thought to be shy since she was able to speak. This is not really the case, however, it is simply that she does not want to frighten anyone with her magic, and tries to keep away from the center of the holt. She is partly afraid, and partly guilty about it. She has gotten more than one sharp glance from Fireshadow or Jade, even accidental stares from Neubach, for saying something about "Travelling" or other forms of magic, her whole life, and now she gets them from others for simply being near them. She knows they are afraid of her, and does not wish to make them uncomfortable. So she spends her time with her father and sister or nephew, or by herself, learning more and more about the world they live in and the dragons who allowed them to do so. Few people know that she can see the dragons, both Black and Red, as she chooses with "Travelling." She is lonely, but it is worth it to her, not to have those awful looks from the others. It has gotten to the point where she even feels that some of those who are friendly to her are only being so to avoid conflict.
-History: since her mother died when she was born, she never had a mother figure, and never seemed to mind. Her father gave her all the teaching she could possibly need, and when she came of age Marlin, one of the few in the holt she feels semi-comfortable around, took her for his apprentice, recognizing her artistic skill and delicate hands as a sure sign. Sometimes he would bring Highsun to her lessons, mostly so the lad would have a chance to meet and talk with Knotwood, but Sleepflower and Highsun immediately developed a friendship. It is the only friendship she can claim outside her family to this day. She is long since past thinking there is something wrong in her, as she used to when the magics first started coming to her, but she is still unwilling to talk to much about them, even to her sister. Her life has been ruled by a simultaneous feeling of rejection from the holt due to a few elves' distrust and a feeling of incredible closeness to them, since she is one of the few who understand both the dragon and the elf deep inside. She lives in constant fear, however, of the cruel looks from Jade and Fireshadow, and sometimes even thinks she's getting them from Snowfall.
-Relationships:
*Knotwood* More than just a sage to her, the sun rises and sets for him in her mind. He has given her a chance to explore her magic and not to offend others with his reclusive ways, and has given her greater understanding of what is happening to her. Even if he was not her father, she could never forget all of that, since she would've gone mad long ago without it.
*Lotus* Sleepflower admires her sister's ability to fit into the holt despite her empathy. Of the few in the holt, the two of them and Moonpool, as far as she can tell for sure, Lotus manages to blend in best. She appreciates her sister's attempts to help her do the same, but much prefers their long walks and talks around and through the mountain.
*Cloud* Sleepflower can feel what's in store for the boy and his magic, but will not say one way or the other. She did not even have to look deep to see the purity in him. She loves his sweetness and innocence, and loves to tell him old tales of the night sky that Knotwood used to tell her when she was small.
*Highsun* True to his name, Highsun has the ability to light up her day like nothing else. Even before she became Marlin's apprentice, he used to flash her huge smiles any time he'd see her and make it a point to come talk to her when no one else thought to, but since his father became her teacher, he has come to see her almost every day on the edge of the holt. He always manages to find her, no matter where she is, and she's always glad to see him. He is one of the few who makes her feel at ease with herself, with his openness and laughter. There is something fabulous about him that lets her open up a little when he's near. She can see that he is different around her than with the other lasses, and finds it rather uncanny that he feels the importance of their relationship enough to treat her specially.
