Family History
parents: Wren(W) and Backstab(D?) Personal
-Eyes: Bright, clear blue -Personality: The words "mystery" and "strength" immediately come to mind. As weaponmaker, Moonpool is likely the most physically powerful in the holt. His compact form and unimposing presence tend to downplay that fact, however. They mystery comes from his reserved demeanor, his constant smile and subtle sarcasm (which few ever understand), and his undefined empathy. the Weapon-maker purposely keeps quiet around all but his family to avoid conflict and imposition. He is an extremely private fellow, and respects that in others, so he tries not to be around those like Fireshadow and Jade who are uncomfortable with his empathy, and even Neubach, who tries hard not to let it bother him, but doesn't always suceed. Though some are not sure of how to take his small, but ever-present smile and his dry, flip comments are never meant to seem cruel. He truly does find the evening's little dramas and most others in the holt funny, not because he feels he's above them, but because he's always been outside of them, and likes to get as much out of them as he can from that position. He is even tempered and sweet, until angered. Then anyone would back out of his path. (Except for Snowfall, possibly). He is also fiercely loyal, to family and tribe alike, no matter who what or where, and he doesn's have to speak to make that clear. His eyes are enough to tell anyone when he feels strongly about something. -History: Moonpool was always a bit of a dreamer, which would make most of the others in the holt laugh with surprise if they ever knew. He used to make up his own versions of Sparkle's stories when he was a cub, to amuse his parents and little sister, and carve small figures to act them out while playing on the floor of the forge his parents shared. Things started out failry normal for him, but then his father dissappeared, and then, just before his Coming of Age, he realized he was empathic. He was never a loud cub, but he became almost withdrawn as he grew. It did not help that his fast friend as a cub, Neubach, suddenly pulled away from him when he found out about the empathy. He learned the art of metal-working from his mother, and became quite skilled very quickly. It is well known that he has an artistic eye few metalworkers have had since before the time of Sunspot. His love of stories never faded, however, and he began going to Goldvoice's den before he bedded for the morning quite often, for a story to sleep on. He'd always watched her from afar, but never actually thought anything could come of it. He was too self-conscious of his empathy to expect that when he was that young. For several seasons they met each night, and she would give him a song or a story, nothing more. And then, one night, they simply went back to his den together. And it was simple- no recognition has ever been so simple, actually. They had Brighteyes, and his sister recognized and had cubs of her own, and the past seemed very far away. But then a Red Dragon killed Marigold and her lifemate, and it brought all the old feelings back. He worries about Jade and Redleaf, with no father or mother to watch over them, but Jade is set on independence. Redleaf, at least, seems to accept him as a father figure and will let herself take help, advice, and now, instruction. As soon as he saw how strong she was, turns before her coming of age, he knew she would be the next weapon maker in the holt.
